Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Officer for the Islami Banking Windows (IBWs), you will be responsible for providing all required services to customers, ensuring full compliance with both banking regulations and Shariah rules. Your key responsibilities will include:

Account Operations: Opening and closing all kinds of accounts (AWCD A/C, MSD A/C, MTRD A/C, MDS A/C etc.) in compliance with all related laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies (SOP).
Instrument & Card Issuance: Issuing check books, Debit Cards, and Credit Cards.
Deposit Management: Issuance, payment, and encashment of Mudaraba Term Deposits/MDPS etc.
Transaction Processing: Handling services for BACH (Clearing & BEFTN), RTGS, and issuing, collecting, and canceling Payment Orders (PO), Demand Drafts (DD), etc.
Customer Service: Acting as the primary contact person for customers, resolving operational issues, and providing remittance services (local & inward) and locker services.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with Shariah Rules, Guidelines, and Circulars from Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory authorities. This includes updating KYC profiles as per prevailing BFIU Circulars.
Reporting: Timely submission of various operational and compliance reports with accuracy.

Required Qualifications

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree preferably in Islamic Studies/Arabic, Business Administration/ Banking and Finance / Marketing / Management /Economics / or any other disciplines from any reputed University approved by the UGC.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant desk/field, preferably in a reputed Islami Banking Organization.

Skills & Expertise

Must have sound knowledge in Islamic Economics/Finance and Banking.
In-depth knowledge of Islami Shariah, Islami Asset & Liability Products, and Profit Distribution Systems in Islami Banking.
Strong communication skill in Bengali and English.
Should have sound knowledge about computer applications such as MS Word, Excel etc.
Amicable personality, positive attitude, and ability to work as a team player.
Must be hardworking with a fervent attitude.
